MENTORING PROGRAM

Ultimate goal of LCMD is to develop competitive and competent medical and dental professionals therefore, mentoring program aims to guide the mentee to develop their own skills, strategies and ability so that they are enabled to tackle the next hurdle more effectively.

COUNSELLING SESSIONS

Psychological and academic counseling sessions that focuses on facilitating personal and interpersonal functioning across the life duration and help the students by providing academic rehabilitation.

Student council at LCMD manages the curricular and extra-curricular activities. The aim is to keep LCMD student’s body active and entertained through extra-curricular activities, recreational sporting events and field trips. LCMD provides the platform for students to cultivate and challenge their confidence, potential and skills that directly contribute to the student leadership.

FEEDBACK TO PARENTS

Department of student affairs provide feedback of students to parents via call or meetings as per need basis or quarterly. We gently arrange meetings of parents with respective faculty in good environment.

The primary goal of the Student Affairs Department is to establish a campus environment that is safe, welcoming, and inclusive, thereby encouraging student learning, engagement, and retention. This is realized by offering high-quality programs and services that cater to the diverse requirements of students and support their academic and personal growth.

The objectives of the Student Affairs Department may encompass the following:
• Improving student learning and academic achievement by providing academic support services, including advising, tutoring, and mentoring.
• Encouraging student involvement and social interaction through extracurricular activities, events, and programs that foster leadership, teamwork, and personal development.
• Creating a safe and healthy campus atmosphere through health and wellness services, such as counseling, medical assistance, and wellness education.
• Maintaining the institution’s standards of conduct and encouraging ethical behavior through a just and transparent disciplinary process.
• Ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the Student Affairs Department by managing resources, gathering data, and consistently assessing and enhancing programs and services.

LCMD CODES OF CONDUCT

  • To abide by the rules and regulations of LCMD.
  • Students will refrain from any activity which is subversive of the discipline and / or brings the university into disrepute.
  • All students will present themselves with dignity befitting their status as mature, law abiding and responsible persons and show tolerance towards religious, ethnic, social and other differences.
  • To respect faculty members and behave nicely with the staff and fellow students.
  • Students in all settings of campus are expected to dress in a simple decent and appropriate manner (student cards and white lab coat).
  • To make full use of learning opportunities provided by LCMD by attending classes, wards, labs, tutorials and workshops.
  • To turn off mobile phones during lectures and tutorials.
  • To attend the classes regularly complete assignments on time and work hard for studies.
  • Students will ensure that their action do not in any way threaten or endanger the health safety or security of other persons.
  • To inform department of student affairs, if harassed, bullied or assaulted.
  • Not to be under the influence of drugs or banned substances.
  • To use college resources responsibly and avoiding wastage.
  • Not to misuse the computer. Computer is only for academic and professional work.
  • Students will refrain from any behavior which will cause damage to LCMD property.

STUDENT ACADEMIC INTEGRITY POLICY

The LCMD holds academic integrity very high. The students are expected to be the responsible for being aware of and demonstrating behavior that is honest and ethical in their academic work.Adhering to these standards of academic integrity means observing the values on which good academic work must be founded.
Student are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with this value. this standard of academic integrity require student to not ingage in or tolerate integrity violations, including falsification, mis representation or deception.

POLICY FOR POLITICAL ACTIVITIES AT LCMD

LCMD holds strict policy for political activities at LCMD. This policy applies to all students of MBBS and BDS. LCMD students shall not participate or intervene in any political campaign and must prevent its resources from being used in any way that could appear to support any political candidate.
According to policy of LCMD its prohibted to indorse or participated in any political campaign with in the LCMD Premises.

ANTI- DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

This policy relates to all students of LCMD during hours undertaking study and activities on behalf of the college or attending college related social events. The unlawful possession, use or distribution of controlled substance or alcohol is prohibited in all premises of LCMD including hostel.
The unlawful possession use or distribution of controlled substances of alcohol is prohibited in all premises of LCMD including Hostel. LCMD has general interest in the well-being of its student their personal lives generally outside the scope of this policy unless it affects their work, interferes legitimate activities of thier members of LCMD.

ANTI- HARASSMENT POLICY

LCMD holds strict policy for harassment activity. It is the policy of LCMD to be committed to a safe and supportive learning environment. Harassment of all types and mistreatments from students to students and students to faculty members are unacceptable and is not tolerated. LCMD has a legal duty to protect students, faculty members and staff.

Student Society

The member of the society will meet monthly to review curriculem and to organise co-currilar activity. The student society will work in collaboration with curriculm committee and co-currilar committee as per need basis. The Student scoiety must facilitate and provide complete in corportion of all batches student and work for betterment of the college and its student.

ATTENDANCE POLICY OF LCMD

As per PMDC/university regulation 75% attendance is mandatory for alla student to sit int the professional eximanation, otherwise examination form wil not be issued by the department of student affair.
Parents and their ward must submit the affidavit declaring that shall responsible and ensure the 75% attendence at LCMD as short attendance will not be tolerated for any reason.
